Make a donation today, and you'll be helping us to plant and establish millions of trees by 2030. Together, we can create more green spaces and tackle climate change.
Launched in June of 2019, the Green legacy initiative aims to curb the effects of climate change and deforestation in Ethiopia. Trees breathe life into our world, and it's vital we plan for the future of woodlands so we can tackle climate change, together. You can plant a tree for yourself, as a gift to someone special or in memory of a loved one. Whichever you choose, you'll help nature to thrive so that future generations can enjoy spending time in the shade of these beautiful giants. Donate $20 or more and you'll also receive a digital certificate by email, which you can keep for yourself or send to someone else.
Currently we can only accept online donations from private individuals. If you’re interested in supporting tree planting as a business, please check our FAQs for more information.
Our suggested minimum donation amount is $20 as this is what it costs us to plant one new sapling. No matter what the size of your gift, your donation to our plant a tree fund will help create beautiful green spaces for people and wildlife to thrive.
$20 will plant a tree sapling.
$100 will plant 5 tree saplings.
$200 will plant 10 tree saplings.
$1000 will plant 500 square meters of woodland.
$2000 will plant 1000 square meters of woodland.
$10,000 will plant 1/2 a hectare of woodland.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
We need to work together to overcome the climate crisis, especially in Ethiopia, and it's only with your support that we can make a difference. Give today and we'll plant a tree as part of our plan to plant and establish 20 million trees by 2030.
More than 80 percent of Ethiopia's population lives in rural areas that are completely dependent on rain-fed agriculture for their livelihood, whether it's growing crops, raising livestock, selling seeds and tools, or other jobs linked to the industry.
Climate change is the main reason. The current drought Ethiopia is experiencing is caused by below-average rainfall primarily due to negative Indian Ocean Dipole and La Niña conditions.
Ethiopia is experiencing one of the most severe La Niña-induced droughts in the last forty years following four consecutive failed rainy seasons since late 2020. The prolonged drought continues to compromise fragile livelihoods heavily reliant on livestock and deepening food insecurity and malnutrition.
Help the unfortunate win the war against drought and hunger, and people like you will be able to create new memories with their friends and family in leafy green spaces.
